Position Title:                     Detailing Manager   
                                                                                                
PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
The Detailing Manager ensures all internally detailed prints are accurate and done on a timely basis.  
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.      Detailing Manager
o   Overseeing the production of Shop and Erection Drawings.
o   Schedule drawing production with engineers and detailers.
o   Develop and maintain company detailing standards and detailing procedures.
o   Manage transmittals of the owner’s designated representative and consultants.
o   Ensure all project requirements and contract documents are reviewed and incorporated into shop and erection drawings.
o   Train Detailers and Checkers.
o   Ensure the detailing team is working with the latest contract drawings.
 
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES 
Education 
o   Associate degree in manufacturing processes or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred, or applicable experience
Experience
1.      Detailing Manager
o   Extensive experience working with steel fabrication blueprints.
o   Knowledge of blueprint symbols and terminology.
o   Understanding of bill of material and material shapes, grades, and sizes
o   Ability to check photos for errors
o   Communication skills necessary to manage team members
o   Ability to work with detailers, customers, and engineers to set schedules and manage document flow

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
