We are currently looking for a Structural Steel Fitter to join our fabrication shop. The successful candidate will work closely with welders and other fitters to assemble structural steel components according to drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
  • Fit and assemble structural steel components (beams, columns, plates, etc.)
  • Measure, mark, cut, and position materials accurately
  • Use shop tools and equipment safely (grinders, drills, torches, cranes, lifts, etc.)
  • Ensure assemblies meet quality and dimensional requirements before welding
  • Work collaboratively with welders, laborers, and supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
Requirements:
  • Experience as a structural steel fitter (shop experience preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
  • Strong measuring and layout skills
  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment
  • Physically able to handle steel components and stand for long periods
  • Safety-conscious and reliable
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-3 years architectural welding experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Welding Processes
  • High attention to detail.
  • Must be able to read and build from prints and shop drawings.
  • Must have a high school or equivalent diploma.
Compensation: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
