Salary: $66K-$83K per year (plus OT + travel per diem)

We currently have a Foreman position to fill. We are looking for a dedicated, skilled candidate who cares about workmanship. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans
  • Make changes -when necessary- due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel
  • Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members 
  • Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
  • Regularly report project status to project managers, site engineers, and other officials
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:

  • 10+ years ironwork/steel erection experience
  • 5+ years supervisory experience
  • Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in managing crew, time, and costs
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read prints and construction drawings
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • OSHA 10 (or 30) certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting
  • Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls, and tools.
  • May be required to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50lbs
  • Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection equipment
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather steel-toed work boots
 Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass drug tests
  • Ability to pass background checks
  • Ability to pass a job-related physical examination
  • Ability to pass a 3G/4G weld test
  • Must possess a clean, valid driver’s license
  • Willing to work overtime
  • Willing to work in all weather conditions
  • Willing to work in various locations in CT, MA, and RI (occasionally other nearby states)
  • Willing to be a team player and work well with others
