Job Description
Infra-Metals is currently looking for an experienced CNC Burning Machine Operator. Infra-Metals provides value-added processing services and distributes a full line of metal products to various industries.
We are looking for candidates with previous experience operating Plate Burning Machines (Plasma or Oxy-Fuel) in a steel service center or fabrication environment with experience operating an overhead crane a plus. Experienced candidates should have the technical knowledge and ability to properly set up and operate the machine and be able to manage their time wisely to complete orders. Computer skills are necessary. The plate burning must meet the size and tolerance requirements stated in the processing work orders. Individuals must also be able to:
 
Responsibilities 
  • Read, write, and understand the English language
  • Read, understand, and comprehend written work instructions
  • Read, understand, and comprehend basic blueprints and drawings
  • Display the ability to accurately use essential measuring devices, including tape measure, calipers, and micrometers
  • Display the ability to use manual hand tools, including wrenches and clamps
  • Ability to stand, lift, climb, and perform various other physical functions
  • Able to work any shift and hours required
  •  Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
  • Works and coordinates with multiple areas of the warehouse and coworkers to complete tasks.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures. 
  • Safety is sensitive to their safety and that of others' safety.
  • Demonstrated initiative to seek out work and complete tasks proactively 
  • Enthusiastic team player with a motivating, positive attitude 
  • Committed to a workplace of culture and respect.
  • Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality
  • May must work overtime and weekends as assigned (depending on business needs).
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Must be able to lift 70lbs and withstand the physical demands of erecting steel 
  • Minimum 1 year Steel processing or warehousing or 2-3 years’ experience with other CNC type processing applications.
 
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
