We will Services IN, KY, OH, IL, Areas.
Per dim will be Paid when over 100 miles from INDY.
Needs to be willing to operate more this just crane.
Pay will be discussed at time of interview.
Pay rage between 28 and 38 PER HR
Summary: Assembles rigging to lift and move equipment or material in manufacturing plant, shipyard, or on construction project by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Has practical knowledge of Regulatory Compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations, CSE, Inc. Rules and Regulations and Site-Specific Rules and Regulations.
a. Understands OSHA and DOT standards relating to transportation and fleet safety and that working safely is a job requirement.
b. Works within current DOT regulations.
2. Assumes responsibility of organizing, planning and prioritizing work
a. Familiar with supervisory personnel, job activity to be performed, hazard communication program, safety rules and regulations, and emergency action procedures.
b. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive instructions.
3. Assumes responsibility of inspecting equipment, structures and/ or material
a. Assists in set-up and knock-down of cranes.
b. Performs daily inspection on crane, lifts, welding machines and all other equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
c. Signals crane according to signals from qualified signal person.
d. Assembles/disassembles boom sections according to job parameters and safe operating procedures.
e. Completes defect reports for any deficiencies and returns form to dispatch office.
f. Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.
g. Rigs equipment and materials and then delivers rigging to crane hook.
h. Sets intended load in place and unhooks rigging equipment.
i. Uses skates, airbags, round stock, pinch bars, come-a-longs, chain falls and other rigging equipment.
j. Has the mathematical knowledge to calculate load weights.
k. Inspects all rigging material prior to and after use.
4. Ensures that routine maintenance is performed on equipment per manufacturer’s recommendations.
a. Operator should be familiar with the maintenance schedule of the assigned equipment.
b. Coordinates with the maintenance staff to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
c. Properly lubricates assigned equipment including wire rope.
d. Manages downtime to wash, wax, and polish equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: One to two years related experience and/or training. Holds a certified Riggers card or has adequate knowledge to obtain one.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Able to calculate load weight and select appropriate rigging.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
