Human Resources Job Responsibilities:
Maintains and enhances the company’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Job Duties:
- Maintain employee staff by recruiting, testing, and interviewing candidates; conduct exit interviews
- Conduct orientation and training
- Process employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data
- Input employee time and attendance records
- Maintain employee benefits programs – Insurance and Retirement
- Process Certified Payroll as required
- Implements human resource federal and state requirements
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge of human resources
- Maintain 401k contributions
Skills and Qualifications:
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- 3+ years of HR experience (construction or trades industry preferred)
- Self‑driven and able to take initiative without constant supervision
- Personable and approachable, able to build rapport with field crews, supervisors, and leadership
- Strong communication skills — both written and verbal
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Skilled in conflict resolution and employee relations
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, sometimes high‑pressure environment
- Ability to recruit for skilled trades, laborers, and project management roles
- Experience with workers’ compensation claims and return‑to‑work programs
- Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
